For the smaller infant sizes of 3-6 months and 6-18 months, the mittens do not have thumbs (they are thumbless). For the larger toddler and child sizes of 2-3 years and 4-6 years, the mittens have thumbs.

The mittens are all double layered with soft and fuzzy sherpa lining, so they are very warm in cold weather.
